Quotes

Recurring readers might have noticed my love for quotes. I throw them around as if my tongue is on fire.

I mean, I love quotes so much, that I once caught myself wondering what I would do if the world ran out. I trembled. Yes, I know I’m sad, I’m sorry. If you never want to associate yourself with me again, I understand. It was a pleasure knowing you. Please shut the door on your way out.

Those of you that remain; I have created this page exclusively for quotes or short poems. Although anything included here is personally written and conjured, so bear with me if the quality is generally lacking. But on the bright-side, this gives you an awesome opportunity to join in, please feel free to drop any excerpts in the comment section which you like/have thought of. I’ll include them with your name :). Here goes.

Because for those who love with heart and soul,
There is no such thing as separation.”

  2. Salaam Amine – nicely done. I too wondered the same thing, but then I realized I have work tomorrow and need to stop talking to myself and go to sleep. Nonetheless, your post is going straight above.

  4. Change from Within – that is one of my favourite quotes. Only time the mention of ‘men’ and ‘rivers’ in the same sentence excited me. Going straight up!

  6. The Confused Questioner – profound. A term I normally use as a prefix before words such as ‘hungry’, ‘bloated’, ‘sleepy’ or ‘filled with gas’, takes on a completely different meaning. Jokes aside, great stuff, going straight into the hall of fame above.

    • No problem – you can post as much as you like, my quote-cup is always half full ( see what I did there..eh…eh..eh?). Great quote btw – wouldn’t expect anything less from Rumi, or yourself of course.

I never like the phrase ‘glass half full’. Why should our level of positivity be confined to that of a simple vessel such as a glass?

  9. Hmm…You sound like a bit of a ‘glass half empty’ type person?

Jokes aside – interesting point, although it would be more meritorious if an alternative metaphor, description or comparison was suggested…
